PRECAUTION

  • Failure to follow these steps each time may result in damage to your camera, and could possibly destroy your camera. Your warranty does not cover accidental damage or issues caused by user error.
  • The camera is not drop resistant, therefore please avoid unnecessary roughness when handling the camera. Try to avoid dropping or damaging the camera in any way.
  • Don’t keep the camera in moist circumstances for long periods of time.
  • Don’t keep the camera in high temperatures as it may cause damage of external and internal components.
  • Use a specialized cloth to clean the camera lens and wipe away fingerprints or dust.
  • For the best and most efficient usage of your battery, we suggest using it in 0-40 °C.
  • When inserting or removing the micro SD card, please keep the camera turned off to avoid damage of the card or saved files.
  • Store the camera in a dry place and remove the micro SD card if storing for long periods of time.

About the SD card

  • Please use a Class 10 or higher speed micro SD card for the camera. Max support 128GB.
  • Please use genuine brand micro-SD cards. The non-genuine brand or OEM cards may cause issues, such as the failure of buttons, invalid video/photo issues, turning the camera off during recording, causing the camera to die, and so on.

About Charging

Before using the camera for the first time, please fully charge the camera. You can connect the camera to a USB charger or computer / laptop with USB cable for charging. If the camera without micro SD card:

LED Indicator Status Charging Status

  • Blue and red light is flashing Charging
  • Red light off and blue light is flashing Fully charged
  • If you have inserted a micro SD card into the camera:
  • LED Indicator Status Charging Status
  • Blue and red light is solid on Charging
  • Red light off and blue light is solid on Fully charged

When the battery is low, the LED indicator will flash quickly, and then turn off automatically later. If you don’t the camera for long time, you should charge it once every 3 months.

BASIC OPERATION

When using the camera for the first time.

  • Insert a micro SD card
    If no micro SD card inside, blue light will flash after turning the camera on. Please use class 10 or higher high-speed micro SD card. The camera only supports FAT32 format.

Attention:

  • If your micro SD card it new, please insert it into the camera directly; if your SD card is used, please copy your data out of the SD card before inserting it into the camera.
  • When you turn the camera on, it will check if the SD card is FAT32 format. If it is not, the camera will format the SD card with FAT32 format automatically, all your data on the SD card will be deleted. If the SD card is already FAT32 format, the camera will do nothing.

Turn the camera on

  • Press and hold the POWER(B) button down for 2 seconds, you will see the startup indication, and the blue LED indicator will be solid on.
  • Press and hold the POWER(B) button down for 2 seconds when the camera is on to turn it off.
  • In standby mode, the blue LED indicator is solid on. If no next operation within 3 minutes, the blue indicator will flash quickly, and the camera will turn off automatically later.

Attention:

  • If the inserted micro SD card is not FAT32 format, the camera will format the SD card with FAT32 format automatically when you turn on the camera. While the camera is formatting SD card, blue light is flashing slowing. When the camera completes format, blue light is solid on. Please restart the camera.
  • If you want to format the SD card manually, please long press Power(B) button and Photograph(D) button at the same time for 2 seconds, blue light will flash quickly and yellow light is on, after blue light is solid on, please restart the camera.

Recording video

  • When the camera is on, press the VIDEO(B) button and the camera will begin to record video. The blue LED indicator will flash.
  • When the camera is recording, press the VIDEO(B) button and the camera will stop recording. The blue LED indicator will be solid on.
  • The video footage is stored as a segment every 5 minutes. You can add all video segments to a player software and play them continuously.

Recording audio

  • When the camera is on, press the AUDIO(C) button and the camera will begin to record audio. The yellow LED indicator will flash.
  • When the camera is recording, press the AUDIO(C) button and your camera will stop recording.
  • The blue LED indicator will be solid on.
  • The audio file is stored as a segment every 1 hour

Taking photos

  • When the camera is on, press the PHOTOGRAPH(D) button and the camera will take a photo. The yellow LED indicator will flash.
  • When the camera finishes taking a photo, the blue LED indicator will be solid on. You can take next photo.

Motion detection function

  • When the camera is on, press and hold the MOTION DETECTION(D) button down for 3 seconds, motion detection function will be turned on, the blue LED indicator will flash and the camera starts to record video for 1 minute.
  • If no movement is detected later, the camera will stop recording after 1 minute. The camera will record video again when it detects movement.
  • Press VIDEO(B) button to turn off motion detection.

Turn the LED indicator off

  • When the camera is recording video or audio, press and hold the AUDIO(C) button down for 3 seconds, LED indicator will turn off. And the camera continues recording.
  • Press and hold the AUDIO(C) button down for 3 seconds again, LED indicator will turn on and flash. And the camera continues recording.

Reset the camera

  • When the camera is on, insert a needle or a pin into the RESET HOLE(I) and press the reset button inside, the camera will be reset.
  • When will you need to reset the camera?
  • When the camera doesn’t work properly or it can be turned off, you need to reset it.

Installation

  • Clip design: You can clip the camera on a pocket, backpack or other objects.
  • MAGNET(G): The camera will attract on ferromagnetic metal objects and frames.
  • M6 SCREW HOLE(K): You can fix the camera on a camera tripod or bicycle holder which is compatible with M6 screws.

Camera setting

  • Insert a micro SD card into the camera, and connect the camera to your computer using a USB cable.
  • Open the SD card and find “settime” document, change its name to “settings”, open it and delete all contents.
  • Input numbers according to the following format: X Y Z
  • Please notice space between numbers.
  • When X is 0, it means the video resolution is 1280*720P, 30FPS
  • When X is 1, it means the video resolution is 1920*1080P, 30FPS
  • When Y is 0, the camera will turn LOOP RECORDING off.
  • When Y is 1, the camera will turn LOOP RECORDING on.
  • When Z is 0, the camera will turn TIME STAMP off. Video will not display date and time.
  • When Z is 1, the camera will turn TIME STAMP on. Video will display date and time.
  • Save and exit.
  • Remove the camera from your computer and turn it on, it will be set to your desired settings.

Set date and time

  • Insert a micro SD card into the camera, and connect the camera to your computer suing a USB cable.
  • Open the SD card and find “settime” document. Open the document and you will find an existing date and time.
  • Change the date and time to correct date and time. Format: YYYY-MM-DD, HH:MM:SS
  • Save and exit.
  • Remove the camera from your computer and turn it on. And then the changed time will be applied to the camera. The camera uses 24 hour clock.
  • Note: if you want to display date and time on video, please change the default date and time to your correct date and time before recording.

Connecting your camera to a PC

The camera can be connected to a computer and recognized as a mass storage device. You can copy, delete and edit files on the micro SD card.

Troubleshooting

Q: I can’t turn on the camera.

A: Charge the camera fully and try again.

Q: The camera can’t record video.

A:

  • Re-format the SD card with FAT32 format and try again.
  • Reset the camera.
  • Try another SD card.
  • Contact Lenofocus for support.

Q: The recording stops randomly.

A:

  • Re-format the SD card and reset the camera.
  • If the issue is not resolved, please contact Lenofocus for support.

Q: My computer / laptop doesn’t recognize the camera.

A:

  • Connect the camera to another USB port.
  • Use the SD card reader to read the SD card.

Q: I can’t play the recorded video.

A: Please download VLC media player or other video player software to try again.

Q: I can’t find recorded footage after connecting the camera to my computer / laptop.

A:

  • Change another USB port and try again.
  • Remove the SD card from the camera and connect the SD card to your computer / laptop via SD card reader and try again.

Q: I can’t turn camera off.

A: Reset camera.
