IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/
or injury to persons including the following:
- Read all instructions before using this product.
- To protect against electric shock, do not place or immerse cords, plugs, or appliances in water or other liquid.
- This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- Never leave appliances unattended when in use.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then unplug the power cord from the outlet. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
- Avoid contacting moving parts.
- The flashing light indicates ready to operate (models with standby mode). Avoid any contact with blades or moveable parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Do not attempt to replace or splice a damaged cord. Return the appliance to the manufacturer (see warranty) for examination, repair, or adjustment.

- For appliances with markings on the plug blade: This appliance has important markings on the plug blade. The attachment plug or entire cord set (if the plug is molded onto the cord) is not suitable for replacement. If damaged, the appliance shall be replaced.
- The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Do not use it outdoors or for commercial purposes.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces, including the stove.
PLUG INSTRUCTIONS
a. North American models with polarized plugs:
POLARIZED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.
b. North American models with grounded plugs:
GROUNDED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a grounding type cord and plug that has a third grounding pin (3-prong plug). If the plug does not fit into the outlet or if in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way.
CLEANING AND USER MAINTENANCE:
Do Not Immerse the blender base in water or any other liquid. Use a damp, soft sponge with mild detergent to clean the outside of the blender base. All parts except for the blender base are dishwasher-safe. Rinse well and dry. Note: This appliance has no user-serviceable parts. Any servicing beyond that described in the Cleaning Section should be performed by an Authorized Service Representative only. See warranty available online.
USING YOUR BLENDER:
- Turn the jar upside down so the small opening is at the top. Then place the sealing ring over the jar opening. (FIGURE 1)
- Place the blade into the jar. (FIGURE 2)
- Place threaded jar nut or threaded jar skirt over blade and jar (Note: If there are slots on top of collar, line them up with notches on the jar.) Place the threaded jar nut or threaded jar skirt on the jar and turn it clockwise to tighten.
- Place the jar assembly onto the base.
- Line up the tabs of the jar with tabs on the blender base. Make sure the tab of the jar on the left side is in the back of the tab of the blender base and the tab of the jar on the right side is in front of the tab of the blender base. Make sure the jar is seated in position. (FIGURE 3)
- Place ingredients into a jar and place the lid with the feeder cap on the jar.
- Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
- Push desired speed and blend ingredients to desired consistency.
- Press OFF to stop the blender.
NOTE:
To use PULSE, push PULSE and hold down for the desired length of time. Release PULSE and allow the blade to stop. Repeat the cycle as desired.
