 CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. Electrolyte Level Check
Prior to charging the battery, check the electrolyte level. If the level is low, add demineralised water to the correct level, as indicated on the battery.

Step 2. Voltage Check
Prior to connecting the SCA solar maintenance charger, ensure that the battery voltage is adequate enough to receive charge. If the battery does not contain enough voltage the maintenance charger will not be able to provide adequate
current to maintain your battery.

Step 3. Connect SCA solar maintenance charger to battery
Connect the SCA solar maintenance charger to the battery, via the 12V battery clamps.

When ready to disconnect

  • Disconnect the BLACK lead (Battery Clamp) from the Negative Terminal (-/Negative)
  • Disconnect the RED lead (Battery Clamp) from the Positive Terminal (+/Positive)
  • Using a Voltmeter check the voltage of the battery before connecting it back in the vehicle
