Installation
Prepare your Fire TV Recast for setup
During setup, you will need to connect your Fire TV Recast to the Internet so that you can access Amazon services. Please make sure you have your Wi-Fi password. You will also need an Amazon account. If you don’t have one, you can create one in the Fire TV mobile app or on Amazon.com.
Get the latest Fire TV App on your mobile device
Go to your mobile device’s App Store to make sure you have the latest version of the Fire TV App.
Turn on your Fire TV streaming media player
Before setting up your Fire TV Recast, make sure that your Fire TV streaming media player is set up and powered on. If you recently purchased a Fire TV streaming media player, complete that set up process first, then set up Fire TV Recast.
Follow the setup instructions in the app
Launch the Fire TV App, tap on Set up Fire TV Recast and follow the setup instructions. The Fire TV App shows you where to place your Fire TV Recast and TV antenna for the best reception. It won’t necessarily need to be next to your TV.
