IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all the instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

  • To avoid fire and shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
  • Never operate the Air Purifier with Fan with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Keep cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER put the cord under rugs, or near heat registers, radiators, stoves, or heaters.
  • Always place the Air Purifier with Fan where it is not easily knocked over by
    persons in household.
  • Never touch the Air Purifier with Fan with wet hands. ALWAYS plug and unplug unit with dry hands.
  • Do not operate the Air Purifier with Fan in any greasy environment such as a kitchen. This product is not intended to filter oil or grease from air.
  • Do not use the Air Purifier with Fan in bathrooms or other humid environments, near fireplaces or in areas where flammable or combustible vapors or products may exist.
  • Always unplug the power cord from electrical outlet when the Air Purifier with Fan is not in use, before cleaning, inserting, or removing parts or before moving to another location.
  • NEVER run the Air Purifier with Fan until it is fully assembled.
  • NEVER drop or insert any objects into any openings.
  • Use the Air Purifier with Fan only for the intended household use as described in this manual. Do not use outdoors.
  • Never use the power cord to pick up, carry, drag, pull, or lift the Air Purifier with Fan. Do not pull the cord against or around sharp corners or edges. This could result in injury to the user and/or damage the cord.
  • Never pull on the cord itself to unplug from power outlet.
  • ALWAYS turn the Air Purifier with Fan off before unplugging.
  • Never block the air openings, or place on soft surface, such as a bed or sofa, as this could cause the unit to tip over thus blocking the air intake opening.
  • DO NOT place anything on top of the Air Purifier with Fan.
  • NEVER use detergents, gasoline, glass cleaner, paint thinner or other household solvents to clean any part of the Air Purifier with Fan.
  • Always place the unit on a smooth, flat, level surface, and away from direct sunlight. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces and areas where it could be walked on or tripped over. Unplug Air Purifier with Fan when not in use and whenever you clean or move the unit.

UV C Bulb Information

  • NEVER look directly at UV Bulb when illuminated doing so can cause temporary or chronic damage to eyesight or may even result in loss of vision. UV Bulb is harmful to bare skin and eyes. To prevent exposure to ultraviolet light, disconnect the power to the unit before servicing any part of the air purifier. NEVER operate air purifier with fan if the housing is damaged or cracked. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury. The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the user that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product but must be supplied by the user. THIS AIR PURIFIER IS NOT A TOY! Do not let your child play with this product. Serious injury and electrocution might be possible. This air purifier with fan must be operated by an adult only. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the desk top air purifier.

SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS!

CAUTION: A short Power Supply Cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also, the extension cord must be (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125 V and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidently tripped over.

  • ELECTRIC POWER
    If the electric circuit is overloaded by other appliances, your purifier and/or appliances may not operate properly. The purifier should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.
  • AC ADAPTOR
    The AC/DC Adaptor included with the Crane Air Purifier with Fan is 100-220V 50/60 Hz and can be used worldwide. However, in some countries you may need to use an outlet adaptor.

SAFETY WARNING

Although your air purifier with fan is easy to operate, for your safety, the below warnings must be followed:

  • Do not place the air purifier with fan near a heat source.
  • Never leave the air purifier with fan unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.
  • To avoid any accidents, never cover the air grill when the air purifier with fan is in operation.
  • Use the air purifier with fan on a stable surface away from water.
  • Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.
  • The air purifier with fan must be unplugged:
  • Before any cleaning or maintenance is performed.
  • After each use.
  • If it appears to be faulty. THIS PRODUCT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY

AIR PURIFIER FILTER:

Level 1: True HEPA Filter

HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. The inlet grill of your air purifier draws in dirty air. Crane’s air purifier true HEPA filter removes at least 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. Microns are used to measure the size of these microscopic airborne particles. Allergens such as pollen, smoke, animal dander, and dust get trapped in the HEPA filter.

Level 2: UV Bulb

NOTE:

  • See Maintenance instruction for the filter.
  • Blue UV Indicator Light indicates that the UV Bulb is ON.

BEFORE USE

  • Select a sturdy, level surface to place the air purifier with fan for proper air flow, locate the unit at least 3 feet from any wall or furniture.
  • Do not place the unit on metal shelving. The Air Purifier with Fan may be placed on nightstand, table, or desk. Make sure the outlet grill faces away from the nearest wall or furniture.
  • Make sure the intake and outlet grills are not blocked.
  • Plug into grounded 120V outlet. (See Safety Instructions)

OPERATION & USE

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Press the bottom power button to activate and deactivate air purifier mode. When the air purifier is activated, you will see the blue light on the front of the unit.
  • Press the top power button for fan use. Press fan button one two or three times to select fan speed. Press once for low (1), press twice for medium (2) and press the button three times for high (3). Long press the fan power button to turn the fan OFF. A light will illuminate with each level of fan speed. All the lights will remain illuminated if the fan speed is on high.
  • Your Air Purifier with fan head can adjust up to 90 degrees, for the comfort level of your choosing. Simply lift the head (the fan part) up from the base. You will feel a slight click when picking it up, that is you removing it from a locked position to the degree of your choice. When placing the fan head back down to original position you will hear a click. That sound is locking it back to its original position.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When the unit is not in use, please turn the unit off and unplug.

REPLACING THE FILTER

There is no filter reset indicator. When filter needs to be replaced, you unlock the bottom of the desk top air purifier. On average, filter needs to be replaced every 3-6 months. Life expectancy of filter depends on air quality and use of the unit.

  • ALWAYS turn off and unplug the desk top air purifier from power outlet before replacing the filter.
  • Turn unit upside down, twist bottom base cover, make sure base cover lines up to the unlock position and lift base cover off.
  • Discard the old filter. DO NOT attempt to wash the filter. Insert the new filter into the unit.
  • Once you have placed the new filter in the unit, place base cover back on. Then twist to make sure the base cover lines up to the lock position. Then turn the unit right side up.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Always be sure the Air Purifier with Fan is unplugged and switched off before trying to clean or removing filter or attempting to store the item. NEVER PLUG OR UNPLUG the Air Purifier with Fan WITH WET HANDS.

Replacing the Air Purifier Filter

NOTE: No part of the Air Purifier with Fan should be placed in the dishwasher.

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Once unplugged, the exterior of the unit may be cleaned by wiping with a lightly damp cloth. DO NOT ALLOW WATER TO GET INTO THE INTAKE AND OUTLET GRILLS. DO NOT USE GASOLINE, POLISH OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION TO CLEAN AIR PURIFIER.
  • The intake grill and outlet grill can be cleaned of dust with a small soft brush.
  • If you wish to lightly clean the inside of the air purifier, please remove filter, and ONLY use a dry, soft cloth to lightly wipe down.

Storing Your Air Purifier with Fan

Store the Air purifier with Fan is a dry location. Do not place heavy items on top of it during storage as this may result in possible damage of the appliance. Store the cord in a clean, dry location away from metal objects. Always check the plug before use to assure metal items have not become attached.

TROUBLESHOOTING

DO NOT attempt to repair the air purifier with fan yourself. If the air purifier with fan continues not to operate, contact Crane Customer Care.

Problem Solution

If the air purifier with fan does not operate:

  • Make sure the filter is inserted and base cover is screwed into place
  • Make sure the air purifier with fan is plugged in all the
  • way in at the unit and the wall.
  • Make sure the power cord is plugged into a working power outlet.
  • If the above solutions do not work, please contact
    Crane Customer Care.
  • If the air flow is reduced
  • Make sure that the intake and outlet grills are not blocked and are free of debris.
  • Make sure the filter is clean, it may need to be replaced.
