IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock and personal injury, do not immerse this appliance, including cord and plug, in water or other liquid.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. To avoid hazards, return appliance to NESCO® Factory Service Department for examination
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electrical burner or in a heated oven.
Parts
- LID : Durable with vent hole and handle. BPA free and dishwasher safe.
- POACHING TRAY: Allows you to poach up to 3 eggs. BPA free and dishwasher safe.
- COOKING TRAY: Holds up to 8 eggs in shell for hard, medium or soft boiled cooking. BPA free and dishwasher safe.
- WATER RESERVOIR : Add water directly into reservoir. Nonstick surface for easy cleaning.
- MEASURING CUP W/ PIERCING PIN : Fill lines on the cup indicate amount of water to add in the reservoir for the way you’d like your eggs cooked. Piercing pin allows you to pierce the top of the eggs to prevent the shells from cracking. NOTE: Piercing pin is sharp!
- BASE : Contains the heating unit and water reservoir. Never place base in liquids at any time. Please refer to the Care and Cleaning Instructions for more information.
- CONTROL SWITCH : Turn left for OFF and to the right for ON.
Before first time use
- Read and follow all instructions and save for reference.
- Remove all packaging and labels.
- Wipe the base with a damp cloth.
- TO REDUCE RISK OF SHOCK HAZARD NEVER IMMERSE THE MAIN BODY IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
Operation
- Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface. Set aside lid and trays.
- Ensure the control switch is in the OFF position.
- Add water to reservoir. See “Cooking Guide” or markings on the measuring cup.
- Steam Cooking: Place cooking tray onto base with handles in upright position.Add as many eggs as desired. Pierce top of egg to prevent shell from cracking. Cover with lid.
- Add eggs to poaching tray and cover with lid.
- Turn control switch to ON position, cooking will begin. Indicator light will be ON.
- To shut off alarm turn control switch to OFF position and remove cord from electrical outlet.
- Remove lid by tilting to allow steam to escape away from you.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
- Before cleaning turn off any switches and ensure the power cord is removed from the electrical outlet and appliance is cool.
- Wipe the base and reservoir with a damp cloth and dry with a lint free cloth. Never place base in water or other liquids at anytime.
- Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean any parts of this appliance.
- Wash the trays and lid in warm soapy water or in the dishwasher.
- Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This warranty does not cover transport action damage, misuse, accident or similar incident. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Warranty does not cover commercial use. Your new NESCO® appliance comes equipped with numerous safety features. Any attempt to interfere with the operation of these safety features makes this warranty null and void. In the event we receive an appliance for service that has been tampered with, we reserve the right to restore it to its original state and charge for the repair.
