iPhone 4 Dock
Use the iPhone 4 Dock to charge the iPhone, sync the iPhone with your computer, and play music on the iPhone through external speakers.
To charge your iPhone and sync it with your computer:
- Connect the dock to a USB 2.0 port on your computer (not on your keyboard), using the cable that came with your iPhone.
- Put the iPhone in the dock.
To charge the iPhone using a power adapter (available separately):
- Connect the dock to a power adapter, using the cable that came with either iPhone or the power adapter.
- Extend the electrical prongs, if necessary, and plug the adapter into a power outlet.
- Put the iPhone in the dock
To play music through external powered speakers:
- Using an audio cable that has a standard 3.5-millimeter stereo miniplug, connect the speakers to the Line Out port on the back of the dock.
