DIRECTIONS FOR USE
MOUNTING LOCATIONS
The best place to position the Bark Free system is slightly above and facing the dog. The Bark Free will detect barking up to 30 feet away, so mount the unit for dogs within 30 feet. Be sure that your dog(s) cannot reach the unit to prevent damage. Keep extension cords out of reach. The Bark Free can be mounted or placed free-standing in the desired location. If using indoors, place Bark Free in a room where the dog is often known to bark. NOTE: If you place the unit in a room and your dog is in another room, Bark Free can be effective but the results may not be as significant.
The “Novel Stimulus” aspect of the tone will then be lost and your dogs will learn to ignore Bark Free. Also, be sure that the background noise level is not too high or it will cause continued triggering. You can correct this by reducing the sensitivity level. NOTE: DO NOT try to instigate barking from your dog to find out if Bark Free will stop them from barking. A dog will always bark if harassed.
TEST BUTTON:
Pushing the test button will lower the ultrasonic frequencies to an audible human level. This way you can hear the different ultrasonic features. To avoid hearing damage, do not use the Test button for long periods of time, and do not allow children to play with the test button.
TO INSTALL BATTERIES
- Turn the knob on the batter cover counterclockwise.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Insert 4 “D” batteries in the correct orientation.
- replace the knob and turn clockwise.
There is also an input jack for the power adapter. It is located on the back of the left side of the unit, protected by a plastic plug. AC adapter specifications: 200mA/DC 6V (not included). WARRANTY
This KOOLATRON product is warranted to the retail customer for 90 days from the date of retail purchase, against defects in material and workmanship.

- Replacement parts and labor.
- Transportation charges to the customer for the repaired product.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
- Damage caused by abuse, accident, misuse, or neglect.
- Transportation of the unit or component from the customer to Koolatron.
IMPLIED WARRANTIES
Any implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability are also limited to the duration of 90 days from the date of retail purchase.
