IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This manual contains important safety and operating instructions.
    CAUTION: To reduce the risk of injury, use this charger only with this product. Batteries in other products may burst to cause personal injury or damage.
  2. Do not expose the charger to rain or snow.
  3. Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by Black+Decker may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  4. The use of improper extension cords could result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or electrocution.
  5. The use of any other charger could damage the tool or create a hazardous condition.
  6. Do not attempt to open the charger. There are no customer-serviceable parts inside. Return to any authorized Black+Decker service center.
  7. The batteries can explode in a fire.
  8. Inserting or removing the battery from the charger may ignite dust or fumes.
  9. If battery contents come into contact with the skin, immediately wash the area with mild soap and water.

  5. To reduce the risk of damage to the electric plug and cord, pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting the charger.
  6. Make sure the cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
  7. An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. The use of improper extension cords could result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or electrocution.
  8. Use only the supplied charger when charging your tool. The use of any other charger could damage the tool or create a hazardous condition.
  9. Use only one charger when charging.
  10. Do not attempt to open the charger. There are no customer-serviceable parts inside. Return to any authorized Black +Decker service center.
  11. DO NOT incinerate the tool or batteries even if they are severely damaged or completely worn out. The batteries can explode in a fire. Toxic fumes and materials are created when lithium-ion battery packs are burned.

To rotate the nozzle, press the button shown in figure K and rotate the nozzle to the left or right until it clicks into place.

Replacing the filters

Replacement filters are available from your Black+Decker dealer. Visit www.blackanddecker.com to locate dealers.

  • Remove the old filters as described above.
  • Fit the new filters as described above.

Maintenance

IMPORTANT: To assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs, maintenance and adjustment (other than those listed in this manual) should be performed by authorized service centers or other qualified service personnel, always using identical replacement parts.

Troubleshooting

If the product does not work, check the following:

  • The charger was correctly plugged in for a recharge. (It feels slightly warm to the touch.)
  • The charger cord is not damaged and is correctly attached.
  • The charger is plugged into a working electrical outlet.

Charging the battery

  • Place the appliance on the charging base as shown.
  • Plug in the charger. The charging indicator will flash continuously (slowly).
  • Leave the appliance to charge. While charging, the charger may get warm, this is perfectly normal and safe. The charging indicator will be lit as long as the appliance is connected to the plugged in charger. It can remain on charge indefinitely without damage or danger. It is not possible to

TWO-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Black & Decker (U.S.) Inc. warranties this product to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of two (2) years following the date of purchase, provided that the product is used in a home environment. This limited warranty does not cover failures due to abuse, accidental damage, or when repairs have been made or attempted by anyone other than BLACK+DECKER and its Authorized Service Centers.

Please check with the retailer for its specific return policy regarding time limits for returns or exchanges. The second option is to take or send the product (prepaid) to a BLACK+DECKER-owned or authorized Service Center for repair or replacement at BLACK+DECKER’s option. Proof of purchase may be required.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
