General Safety
Read this manual thoroughly before you start using the radio. Store this manual, the completed warranty card, your receipt and the product packaging. The safety precautions instructions reduces the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly complied to. Please follow all instructions and take notice of all warnings.
- The lightning flash with symbol within the triangle is intended to warn you of a non-insulated dangerous voltage in the product’s enclosure that could be of sufficient magnitude to generate a risk of electric shock to persons.
- The exclamation point within the triangle is intended to warn you to the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions in the documents included with the product.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

- Only using furniture that can safely support the Products.
- Ensure the Product is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
- Do not place the product on a high furniture without securing both the furniture and the product to a stable support.
- Do not place the product on cloth or other conductive materials.
- Warn children of the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the product or its controls and to call for an adult to assist.
- Do not expose this product to rain or moisture as it may result in fire or an electric shock hazard
- Do not temper or change or modify the product in any way.
- Only use Accessories outlined and recommended by the manufacturer.
- Please do not expose the product to splashing or water contact
- Please do not place any object on top of the product
This product must be positioned in a sufficiently stable location, it can be potentially hazardous due to falling when mounted and can cause injury, particularly to children if it positioned incorrectly.
- Do not use a damaged power cord, plug or loose outlet. Doing so may cause an electric shock.
- If mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
- Do not plug several devices into the same outlet. Doing so may cause the outlet to overheat and start a fire. Make sure the outlet is readily accessible during operation of the equipment.
- Do not bend, twist or kink the power cord excessively.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product. Dry location use only.
- Do not run the power cord near heat-producing appliances such as radiators, stoves or irons. The excessive heat could melt the insulation and expose live wires, resulting in fire or electric shock.
- No naked flame source, such as candles, should be placed on the product.
- Do not allow anything to rest on or roll over the power cord. Doing so may cause fire or electric shock.
- Do not run the power cord near heat-producing appliances such as radiators, stoves or irons. The excessive heat could melt the insulation and expose live wires, resulting in fire or electric shock.
- Unplug ths product during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. Not doing so may result in fire or electric shock.
- Do not cover the ventilation openings of the product with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains etc or insert objects into the slots available on the products. As this could result in the product temperature rising and could cause a fire.
- If you notice any unusual odors or smoke around the unit, immediately disconnect the unit from the outlet and contact the service center. Failure to do so may result in fire or electric shock.
- When not using the unit for long periods of time or when you are moving the unit please ensure to disconnect the power supply from the wall socket.
- Please beware that Dust could accumulate over time on the unit and cause it to generate heat and or deteriorate insulation, which in turn may result in an electrical fire.
- The product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or young children of any age, They must be supervised product by a person responsible for their safety.
- Batteries from the product must be only removed by an adult, the adult must ensure to keep them out of reach of infants and children. Seek medical attention immediately if a child has swallowed a battery.
- To maintain the product do not use any chemical or cleaning agent or wet cloth, please only ensure to utilize a dry cloth to wipe it down from marks or dust and only after unplugging the product from the power socket.
- Please ensure to contact our call center for any repair or service required for the products.
Please make sure upon positioning this product, the place is:
- Not wet or damp and Well ventilated
- Away from direct sunlight or heaters.
- Away from splashes or food.
- Protected from excessive dust or grease.
- Do not place this equipment in a confined space such as a bookcase or similar unit. Allow 20cm above and 5cm spacing on both sides for proper ventilation.
- Do not place the Product near heat sources such as radiators, stoves or other audio visual equipment that produce heat.
- Do not place containers with liquids, if liquid falls inside the products it may result in short-circuit, fire or electric shock.
- Do not place small metallic objects on top of the unit.
- Do not use or store flammable or combustible materials near the unit. Doing so may result in fire or explosion. Do not place any naked flame sources, such as lit candles, cigarettes or incense sticks on top of the product.

Basic Operation
Power connection
- Plug in the Power Adaptor from the back of the Turntable Radio into the power outlet.
- Once powered, press the “Standby” button to turn on your Turntable Radio.
Listening to FM/AM Radio
- Press the function button until you reach FM or AM Radio.
- Once in FM mode the indicator light will be displayed in RED, to switch to AM mode Press the FUNCTION button. When its in AM mode, the indicator light will display in Green.
- To tune your FM or AM radio station, turn the “TUNING” knob to find your radio station frequency.
- Then turn the volume if you to set to desired audio output.
Phono (Record)
Before starting – Please action the following:
- Remove the stylus protector
- Be sure that the tone arm is being detached from the tone arm rest before operating and resecured again after-use.
- Press FUNCTION button repeatedly until PHONO indicator light is on.
- Set the speed selector to the proper position depending on the record to be played.
- Place the record on the platter, use the 45 RPM Adaptor if required.
- Push the lift lever upward to raise the tone arm from the arm park and then slowely move it to the record side. The platter will start to rotate.
- Place the Lift Lever onto the record player gently, your record will start playing.
Note: to stop playing, lift up the Tone arm. To continue, place gently back onto the record. - When the record has finished, the platter will stop rotating.
- Make sure to lift Tone arm up and place it back into the Arm park (where it sat originally when first opening the turntable).
USB Encoding
Before starting – Please action the following:
- Insert USB into the USB slot at front of the unit.
- Press FUNCTION button repeatedly until PHONO indicator light is on.
- Press the REC button then the PHONO indicator will begin flashing.
- To finish encoding (recording), Press the REC button again. The unit will now switch to USB mode, and play the recorded track.
AUX IN
Before starting – Please action the following:
- To use this mode, please have a 3.5mm AUX cable, this is so you can play music from your device through the Turntable speakers.
- Insert USB into the USB slot at front of the unit.
- Press FUNCTION button repeatedly until AUX indicator light is on.
- Connect the AUX cable from your device to the Turntable AUX line in located at front of the unit.
- When playing music from your device, press the REC button to begin recording. The AUX indicator light will begin flashing.
- To finish recording, press the REC button again. The turntable will switch to USB mode and begin to play the recording automatically.
USB Media Playback
Before starting – Please action the following:
- Insert USB containing your music files into the USB slot at front of the unit.
- Press FUNCTION button repeatedly until USB indicator light is on.
- Use the functions at the front of the unit such as.
- Play/Pause – Pause or play the track.
- Stop – Stop Playing music
- Next – Go to the next track.
- Previous – Go to the previous track.
- + 10 – Can skip 10 tracks for quicker searching.
- Repeat – Press repeat once and USB indicator will flash and the track will be played again, press Repeat for a 2nd time and every song on the USB will be repeated.
NOTE: Make sure to switch the power off or change mode before removing USB device.
BLUETOOTH
- Press FUNCTION button repeatedly until BT (Blue) indicator light is on and flashing.
- Open Bluetooth setting within your smart device.
- Search for the respective model number BTR9 (black), RTR9 (red), CTR9 (cream).
- Once you select the device to pair, the BT indicator light will stop flashing.
- Now that you are connecting, you can now play your favourite music or video through the Retro Radio Turntable.
