Basic Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |
Cleaner does not turn on | • Low battery. Charge until battery LED is solid green. • Slide the On / Off switch down towards thesymbol to start the cleaner. • Overheated. Move cleaner to cooler area. Do not store above 104ºF (40ºC) or in direct sunlight. |
Cleaner does not charge | • No power. Reset GFCI circuit breaker. Plug the charger into a different outlet. • Dirty connection. Clear debris from charging port on cleaner. |
Cleaner does not dive -or- does not move in water | • Trapped air. Hold cleaner under water, tilt and shake to release air bubbles. • Filter full / dirty. Empty canister, wash with soapy water and a soft brush. • Make sure the pivoting float arm moves freely. • Manually rotate wheels back and forth to release blockage. |
Cleaner does not climb spa walls -or- does not reach all areas | • Filter full / dirty. Empty canister, wash with soapy water and a soft brush. • Turn off spa pump and jets while using cleaner. • Water chemistry imbalance. Consult a spa service professional. • Some spa designs may have areas inaccessible to the cleaner. |
Lid detaches unexpectedly | • Reattach lid securely (see step in “Empty the Filter Canister” section). • Latch stuck. See latch problem / solutions below. |
Latch is difficult to open -or- does not stay closed | • Submerge cleaner in water, open and close latch a few times to rinse out debris. • Completely dry out cleaner, open and close latch a few times, blow out debris. |
Debris escaping from filter | • Remove canister, wash with soapy water and a soft brush. • Make sure canister is seated and oriented properly. |
Cleaner floats to the surface | • Normal operation. Cleaner stops and floats when the cleaning cycle is done. • Normal operation. Cleaner floats periodically during navigation. |
Cleaner does not float to the surface at end of cycle | • Canister full with heavy debris. Empty filter canister. |
Flashing red LED | • Blockage detected. Turn off cleaner and remove lid. Clear debris from exposed moving parts. |
