IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock and personal injury, do not immerse this appliance, including cord and plug, in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool completely before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. To avoid hazards, return the appliance to NESCO® Factory Service Department for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electrical burner or in a heated oven.

Polarized Plug:
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, the plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not try to modify the plug in any way.
Short Cord Instructions:
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
Parts
Before first use
- Read and follow all instructions and save for reference.
- Remove all packaging and labels.
- Clean all parts following instructions in the ‘Care and Cleaning’ section.
- Wipe the Base with a damp cloth.
- TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SHOCK HAZARD NEVER IMMERSE THE GRILL IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
Operation
- Place the base on a flat, heat-resistant, stable surface in a well-ventilated area.
- Set grill plate and glass lid into base. Insert the grease tray fully into the base.
- Ensure the temperature control is in the OFF position. Insert temperature control into the inlet of the grill which is located under the right handle of the grill plate. Then insert the plug into an electrical outlet. You are ready to begin grilling.
- Adjust the temperature control to the desired setting. The light on the control will indicate when the desired setting is reached by turning it off, then continue to cycle on and off during use maintaining the temperature setting.
- Allow to preheat for 7-10 minutes. Then place food directly onto the cooking plate, close the lid, and cook food as desired.
- When finished cooking, turn the temperature control to OFF then remove the plug from the power outlet. Lift the lid and serve food from the grill.
IMPORTANT:
- To avoid injury do not touch the appliance during use, except the lid handle.
- Close the lid during use to eliminate spatter from grease or cooking oils.
- DO NOT remove the temperature control from the grill plate until the appliance has cooled.
- DO NOT move the appliance during use.
Cooking Tips
- If using bamboo or wooden skewers, soak in water before use to prevent burning.
- Use only plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick surface of the grill plate.
- Never cut food directly on the grill plate.
- Cut food into small and equal pieces to ensure a more even cooking.
- Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
- When grilling vegetables, fish, or lean meat, spray the grilling surface with a cooking spray before heating.
- If using a marinade with oil, place the grill near an exhaust fan. Oils may produce smoke when in contact with a heated grill.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
- Turn the temperature control to OFF and unplug the cord from the power outlet.
- Lift the lid and set it in the open position.
- Allow the grill to cool before cleaning or removing temperature control.
- Remove the temperature control from the unit by grasping with fingers and pulling outward. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. NEVER IMMERSE TEMPERATURE CONTROL IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
- Allow the base to cool before cleaning. Wipe any excess residue from the base with a paper towel. Gently remove the grill from the base and clean it with warm soapy water using a soft cloth or sponge to wipe grill surfaces. THE GRILL PLATE IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. NEVER IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
- To remove the lid, slightly open the lid and push the right side hinge back, away from the base. Then pivot the left side while removing from the base, then lift to remove the lid. Wash with soapy water or in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Remove the grease tray from the base and wash it with soapy water or in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- The base can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or is dishwasher safe.
- Dry all parts thoroughly before using or storing the grill.
- To store or transport the grill, close the lid and press firmly on the locking tab, located under the lid handle, to secure the lid from accidently opening.
ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This appliance is warranted for one year from the date of original purchase against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover transportation damage, misuse, accident, or similar incident. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. This product is intended for household use only, not for commercial use.
The warranty does not cover commercial use. Your new NESCO® appliance comes equipped with numerous safety features. Any attempt to interfere with the operation of these safety features makes this warranty null and void. In the event we receive an appliance for service that has been tampered with, we reserve the right to restore it to its original state and charge for the repair.
For service in warranty – Defective products may be returned, postage prepaid, with a description of the defect to The Metal Ware Corporation, 1700 Monroe Street, Two Rivers, Wisconsin 54241, for no-charge repair or replacement at our option.
Must include proof of purchase or copy of original bill of sale when returning the product for warranty service.

- For service in the warranty, follow the instructions set forth in the warranty. When ordering new parts, make sure that you always mention the model number of the product.
- Call us on our toll-free number, 1-800-288-4545, and tell us about your problem.
- If we instruct you to send all or part of your appliance to us for repair or replacement, our Customer Satisfaction representative will provide a Return Authorization number (this number notifies our receiving department to expedite your repair). Pack your unit carefully in a sturdy carton with sufficient padding to prevent damage because any damage caused in shipping is not covered by the warranty.
- Print your name, address, and Return Authorization number on the carton.
- Write a letter explaining the problem. Include the following: your name, address telephone number, and a copy of the original bill of sale.
- Attach the sealed envelope containing the letter inside the carton. Insure the package for the value of the NESCO® appliance and ship prepaid to:
