Elgato EyeTv250 TV Reciever and Video
Welcome to EyeTV 250!
Thank you for purchasing EyeTV 250. This guide is designed to get you up and running. You‘ll be watching television on your Mac shortly.
Open and Unpack Box
Your EyeTV 250 box should contain the following items:
- EyeTV digital TV recorder software (CD-ROM)
- EyeTV 250 TV receiver
- PDF product manual (CD-ROM)
- Remote control
- 2 AAA batteries
- Video cable
- USB cable
Install EyeTV Software
Insert the EyeTV CD-ROM. Drag the EyeTV application to the Applications folder on your hard disk. If you like, you can also drag the EyeTV documentation PDF fi le from the CD-ROM to your computer.
Set up EyeTV
Launch the EyeTV software. The EyeTV setup assistant will start automatically. Please follow the on-screen instructions.
- During this process, you will be asked to select your country.
- EyeTV needs this information to properly tune to your channels. Generally, EyeTV will be able to automatically detect all the stations available in your area.
- EyeTV will also ask you to enter an Activation Key. Please find this key printed on the Activation Key card.
- Once setup is complete, you can view your programs via the live TV window.
- Use the on-screen remote control to change channels and to pause or skip through video.
- Refer to the User‘s Guide for more details on the online TV guide (EPG).
