IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance basic safely precautions should always be followed including the following:
- Read carefully and save all the instructions provided with an appliance. This appliance is not a toy.
- Do not touch moving parts. Never feed dough by hand.
- To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plugs or any part in question in water or any other liquid.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord in the wall outlet.
- To disconnect, turn off any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Always plug your appliance cord into a power outlet of the voltage (A.C. only) marked on the appliance.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being used near children. Children should not use the appliance.
- Never leave an appliance unattended while in use.
- Do not use an appliance for any purpose other than its intended use.
- Do not place an appliance on or near a hot gas flame, electric element or on a heated oven. Do not place on top of any other appliance.
- Do not let the power cord of an appliance hang over the edge of a table or bench top or touch any hot surface including the stove.
- Do not operate any electrical appliance with a damaged cord or after the appliance has been damaged in any manner. If damage is suspected, return the appliance to the nearest Sunbeam Appointed Service Center for examination, repair or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries and should not be used.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
- This appliance is intended for household use only.
- Do not place any part of this appliance in a dishwasher.
THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, as a safety feature, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
EXTENSION CORD USE
A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used, the electrical rating of the cord or extension cord must be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

How To Assemble
It is recommended to wash all of the cookie press parts except the BODY (C) with warm, soapy water before first use. Dry these parts thoroughly before use.
NOTE: Don’t immerse the BODY (C), CORD (A) and PLUG in any liquid.
- Turn Cam Disc (D) counter-clockwise until it clicks.
- By inserting the stem of Cam Shaft (E) into the center hole of the Cam Disc (D), the Cam Shaft (E) attaches to the Cam Disc (D). By turning clockwise it will click when it is properly aligned.
- Select a Cookie Disc (K) and place it into Tube Cover (J).
- Next, by turning clockwise place Tube Cover (J) into bottom part of the Tube (F).
- When using a Pastry Tip (H), fit it over the Pastry Tip Adapter (G) and secure it with the Tip Cover (I).
- The pastry tip assembly then goes inside the tube cover (J).
- Load the prepared cookie dough or filling. NEVER FILL THE TUBE (F) MORE THAN THE MAX FILL LINE.
- Furthermore, the ridges on the inside of the Tube (F) need to be aligned with the outside contours of the assembled discs (D). Align the arrows of the Tube (F) with the Motor Body (C). Make sure top arrow on Tube (F) lines up and is in the lock position.
How To Make Cookies
- The consistency of the cookie dough is very important when making cookies with your SunbeamTM cookie press. When the cookie dough is too soft, refrigerate it for about 10-15 minutes. On the other hand, when the dough is too stiff it will not release from the appliance.
TIP: The use of store-bought cookie dough is not recommended.
- Insert the plug into a 120 volt power outlet when filled with cookie dough.
- With the cookie press upright press against the surface of the cookie sheet.
- Press the On/Off button (B) until the air pockets are removed from the tube.
- Press a cookie for about 2 seconds. Based on the desired thickness and shape of the cookie the pressing times will vary.
- When done, release the On/Off button (B) and repeat to the next position on the cookie sheet.
TIP: When the dough is loaded in the cookie press, use it immediately.
- When refilling the cookie press with dough, always UNPLUG the unit first.
NOTE: When different type of cookie dough needs to be used, clean the cookie press before refilling. NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR BODY (C) A. Power Cord IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
Care And Cleaning
Always remove plug from power outlet after use. Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners.
- After unplugging the unit, turn the tube cover (J) counter-clockwise while holding the tube (F) pointing down.
- Set all of the parts aside.
- Hold the motor body (C), turn the tube (F) counter-clockwise to the unlock position.
- Rinse and dry thoroughly all parts except for the motor body (C). Do not immerse the motor body or power cord in liquids.
NOTE: DO NOT WASH ANY PART IN DISHWASHER.
- The cookie discs (K) and pastry tips (H) should be cleaned with a soft cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly right away in order to avoid spotting.
- The exterior of the motor body can be wiped with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
- A brush may be used for cleaning the inside of the tube and pastry tips.
- Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners.
- Store the cookie press and the parts in a dry and clean location.
