Notes:
- When using in the microwave, be sure that the valve lever is up (in the open position) to allow excess pressure to escape
- Allow the fine powder to settle before creating a vacuum. This will prevent powder from entering the valve itself.
- Changes in air temperature, air pressure, and longer periods of storage can cause the vacuum to weaken at times. To correct this, periodically push down the center of the top lid to recreate the vacuum.

Overview
Congratulations on your purchase of the Ozeri InstaVac™ Food Storage Set. The Ozeri food containers utilize a patented valve that reduces air volume so naturally occurring bacteria are less able to grow, and food stays fresh longer. The valve makes it easy to create and release a vacuum. When left in the open position, the valve helps prevent spills and splatters when the containers are used in a microwave. Each container features a date dial to track the number of days your food has been stored. Your Ozeri InstaVac™ Food Storage Containers are BPA-free, stain-resistant, shatter-proof, and safe to use in the freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. Creating and Releasing an Instant Vacuum:
- Place items into the Ozeri food container and lock the handles of the lid into place. Ensure the valve is in a sealed position.
- Using either your thumbs side-by-side (2a) or the forefingers of both hands (2b), simply press down on the center of the lid. This forces air out through the one-way valve, but not in. Repeated pushes will increase the vacuum. The green vacuum indicator in the center of the valve will pop down and whistle as the vacuum seal is created.
- Set the date dial on the valve to the day of the month to track the date on which the food was first stored.
- To release the vacuum, pull the one-way valve lever up and listen to the whistling sound as air rushes back in. The vacuum indicator pops up indicating the vacuum has been released.
- Release the handles and remove the lid.

Should your scale prove defective within 2 years from the date of purchase, return the defective part or unit, freight prepaid along with an explanation of the claim to “Ozeri Scale.”
Please pack your scale carefully to avoid damages in transit. Under this warranty, Ozeri will repair or replace any parts found to be defective due to a manufacturer’s defect. There are no warranties other than that expressly set forth herein. This warranty is not transferable. Ozeri is not responsible in any way for damages, losses or inconveniences caused by equipment failure or by user negligence, abuse, or use not in accordance with the “User Guide” or any additional safety, use, or warnings included in the product materials.
Further, Ozeri is not liable for incidental or consequential damages of any nature resulting from the use of this product and any liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

- Damage due to accident, misuse, abuse, alterations or vandalism.
- Improper or inadequate maintenance.
- Unauthorized modification or commercial use.
- Damage in return transit.
- Unsupervised use by children under 18 years of age.
