This manual provides instructions for all of the unit’s functions and features along with directions for assembling, operating, cleaning, and maintaining the appliance. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be followed:

  1. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children younger than 8) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have supervision.
  2. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local main voltage before you connect the appliance.
  3. Do not use the appliance if the plug, the main cord, or the appliance itself is damaged. Always make sure that the plug is inserted properly into a wall outlet.
  4. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  6. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
  7. To protect against electric shock do not immerse cords, plugs, or appliances in water or other liquid. Do not plug in the appliance or operate the control panel with wet hands.
  8. Never connect this appliance to an external timer switch or separate remote-control system in order to avoid a hazardous situation. Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn off the appliance, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
  9. Do not place the appliance on or near combustible materials such as a tablecloth or curtain. The accessible surfaces may become hot during use. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  10. Do not place the appliance against a wall or against other appliances. Leave at least 4 inches of free space on the back and sides and 4 inches of free space above the appliance. Do not place anything on top of the appliance.
  11. Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  12. Do not let the appliance operate unattended. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  13. Do not use outdoors.
  14. Do not touch the hot surfaces; use a handle. During hot air frying, hot steam is released through the air outlet openings. Keep your hands and face at a safe distance from the steam and from the air outlet openings. Also, be careful of hot steam and air when you remove the pan from the appliance.
  15. After using the appliance, the metal cover inside is very hot, avoid contact with the hot metal inside after cooking. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  16. Immediately unplug the appliance if you see dark smoke coming out of the appliance. Wait for the smoke emission to stop, before you remove the pan from the appliance.

IMPORTANT TOASTER SAFEGUARDS

CAUTION HOT SURFACES: This appliance generates heat and escapes steam during use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fires, or other injury to persons or damage to property.

  1. A person who has not read and understood all operating, toasting, and safety instructions is not qualified to operate this appliance. All users of this appliance must read and understand this Instruction Manual before operating or cleaning this appliance.
  2. If this appliance falls or accidentally becomes immersed in water, unplug it from the wall outlet immediately. Do not reach into the water!
  3. When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not operate this appliance while it is touching or near curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels, or other flammable materials.
  4. To reduce the risk of fire, do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
  5. IF this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately press the CANCEL button and unplug the cord. Do not use or attempt to repair a malfunctioning appliance!
  6. The cord to this appliance should only be plugged into a 120V AC electrical wall outlet.
  7. To reduce the risk of injury to persons or property, never use this appliance in an unstable position.
  8. Use the toaster on a hard, flat surface. Do not place it near a flame or heat or on a soft surface (such as carpet). Avoid placing it where it may tip over during use. Dropping the toaster could cause it to malfunction.

WARNING:
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Never attempt to dislodge food inside the toaster while the toaster is plugged in. Doing so could cause an electrical shock hazard or a risk of fire.

ELECTRICAL POLARIZED PLUG
This unit has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, the plug is intended to be used by inserting it into the electrical outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit securely into the outlet, reverse the plug and re-insert. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician for assistance. Do not modify the plug in any way.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

  1. Remove all packaging materials including those that may be inside the Toasting Slots or Lever slot.
  2. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Do not put the toaster, cord, or plug in water.
  4. Ensure the Crumb Tray is pushed all the way into the back of the toaster and the Lever is in the raised position.
  5. Plug the toaster into an outlet.
  6. Turn the Shade Dial to 1. Press the Lever down to lock it into place and use it without food inside once or twice to burn off any manufacturing residue. You may notice a slight amount of smoke; this is normal and will stop as the heating elements continue to heat.

USING YOUR TOASTER
Note: The Lever will only lock into place when the toaster is plugged in.

  1. Ensure there are no objects inside the toaster and place it on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface.
  2. Plug the toaster into an outlet.
  3. Place food into the Toasting Slots.
  4. Rotate the Shade Dial to set your desired shade. 1 is light, 7 is dark.
  5. Press the Lever down to lock it into place.
  6. Press the MENU button to set the arrow to the desired Function.
    Note: Function must be set while the arrow blinks and the MENU button is lit.
  7. The countdown timer on the Display will show the remaining time.
  8. Food will pop up when done toasting.
  9. Carefully remove food from the toaster. Lift the Lever higher for easy removal.

WARNING:

  • Toasted food is hot! Handle with care.
  • Never insert your fingers, metal, or sharp-edged utensils into Toaster Slots, this may damage the heating element or cause injury.
USING +30 SECONDS

When toasting is done, you can add additional time for a darker shade.

  1. Press the Lever down to lock it back into place.
  2. Press the +30sec button.
  3. Press the MENU button to set the arrow to the desired Function.

USING REHEAT
To reheat cold toast without browning or to warm food without toasting:

  1. Rotate the Shade Dial to REHEAT.
  2. Press the Lever down to lock food into place.
  3. Press the MENU button to set the arrow to the desired Function.

TIPS

  • Place the bagel inside Toasting Slots with cut sides facing the center of the toaster.
  • Only use toaster pastries. Use lighter shades on the Shade Dial for toaster pastries with a lot of frosting.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

WARNING: Never immerse cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid. Do not plug in the appliance or operate it with wet hands.

  • Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
  • To remove breadcrumbs, slide out the Crumb Tray from the bottom of the toaster. It is very important to empty the Crumb Tray regularly as crumbs that have accumulated in the toaster can burn and become a fire hazard.
  • To clean the exterior, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Never use abrasive utensils or corrosive products to clean the appliance

STORAGE

  • Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
  • Make sure all parts are clean and dry.
  • Store the appliance in a clean and dry place.

ENVIRONMENT
Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.

This Limited Warranty is for one full year from the date of purchase. It is applicable to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to a third-party user. Repair or replacement of defective parts is solely at the seller’s discretion. In the event that repair isn’t possible, the seller will replace the product/part. If product repair/ replacement won’t suffice, the seller has the option of refunding the cash value of the product or component returned.

Product defects not covered under the Warranty provisions include normal wear and damage incurred from use or accidental negligence, misuse of instruction specifications, or repair by unauthorized parties.
