Attaching and Detaching

  1. To attach, first remove the Film Advance Crank AC401 from the camera body, and proceed as follows. (Fig 1)
  2. Align the white index dot on the camera’s Multi Exposure Lever against the white square index mark. (Fig 2)
  3. Then, while pressing on the blue Lock Re- lease Button on the grip, push up on the Lock Lever in the direction of the arrow. (Fig 3)
  4. Firmly insert the mounting guide holes on the grip into the four guide pins on the camera body. (The Neck Strap Lug also serves as a guide pin for securing the grip.)
  5. After making sure that the grip has been properly aligned, push the lock lever downward until you hear a click. The Power Drive Grip WG402 is locked when the Lock Lever is down, while it is unlocked when it is up.

Inserting Battery

  1. With your fingernail, pull the Battery Chamber Cover Latch on the bottom of the grip as indicated by the arrow in the illustration. (Fig 4) 
  2. Lift the cover off and insert a 2CR-5, 6 Volt Lithium Battery into the battery chamber by taking care to match the i poles of the battery with those shown in the diagram in the chamber. Then close the battery chamber cover firmly with a click. ( Fig 5)

Operation Instruction

  1. Push the Release Lock Lever in the direction of the arrow until it stops. (Fig 6)
  2. Pull out the Dark Slide and the camera is the ready for exposures.
  3. A single press on the grips Shutter Release Button will automatically advance one frame.
  4. When the final frame has been exposed, the Power Grip automatically winds the film onto the take-up spool so that the exposed film can be taken out.
  5. For continuous exposure:
    • Align the white index dot on the camera’s Shutter Release Selector collar with the white square dot in the center. (Fig 7)
    • Simply keep pressing down the Shutter Release Button on the camera body, or you may also use the Electromagnetic Cable Release.

Multiple Exposures

  1. Remove the Power Grip from the camera body by pushing up the Lock Lever while de- pressing the Lock Release Button.
  2. Align the white dot of the Multiple Exposure Lever with the yellow “Multi” square. (Fig 9)
  3. After attaching the Power Grip to the camera body, push down the Lock Lever of the grip firmly. The multiple exposure mode is now operable.(Fig 10)
  4. To override the multiple exposure mode or to return to normal operation, be sure to return the lever’s white dot against the white square.

Features

The Power Drive Grip WG402 is designed exclusively for the 645 PRO cam- era. Providing compact size, light weight, simplicity and comfortable grip, it advances the film at approximately one frame every 0.8 seconds (except at slow shutter speeds).

Handling Caution

  1. The Power Drive Grip WG402 is exclusively designed for 645 PRO camera and it cannot be fitted with M645 Super Camera.
  2. When the Power Drive Grip WG402 has not been used for a long time, check the battery condition first by making some test exposures.
  3. Be sure that the Power Drive Grip is firmly locked to the camera body.
  4. It is desirable to replace the battery with a fresh one as soon as you feel that the film advance speed is sluggish.
  5. Even when using the Power Drive Grip, it is recommended to also attach the neck strap to the camera as a safety measure and for port- ability.
