How to Use the Omron Blood Pressure

Install the Batteries

  • Open the battery compartment.
  • Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries as indicated.

Pair With the Omron Connect App

  • Download the Omron Connect app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  • Follow in-app instructions to connect the device.

Set Date and Time

  • Press the [Clock] button.
  • Use the arrows to set the correct date and time.
  • Confirm with the [Start/Stop] button.

Apply the Cuff

  • Remove any tight-fitting clothing.
  • Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, about 1 inch above your elbow.
  • The tubing should line up with the center of your inner arm.
  • Tighten the cuff so it’s snug but not painful.

Take a Reading

  • Sit in a chair with your feet flat and back straight.
  • Press the [Start/Stop] button.
  • Remain still and do not talk.
  • Wait as the cuff inflates and deflates.
  • Your reading will appear on the screen with systolic, diastolic, and pulse numbers.

Review and Store Readings

  • The monitor automatically saves each reading.
  • Use the [Memory] button to review stored results.

Store your monitor and other components in a clean, safe location.

  1. Remove the arm cuff from the monitor.
  2. Gently fold the air tube into the arm cuff.

Cleaning

  • Do not use any abrasive or volatile cleaners.
  • Use a soft dry cloth or a soft cloth moistened with mild (neutral) detergent to clean your monitor and arm cuff and then wipe them with a dry cloth.
