What is Thetford Portable Toilet? Thetford Porta Pottis are two innovative toilets that can be easily moved wherever a toilet is needed. It is easily portable, completely self-contained, hygienic, odorless, leak-proof and has its own fresh water for rinsing.

Where can Porta Pottis be used?

How does Porta Potti work?
Porta Potti is very easy to use. In the upper part, there is a seat, lid, bowl, vacuum cleaner and fresh water tank. The bottom is an odorless and airtight removable garbage disposal. The two pieces are held together by a bond that allows all items to be carried as part or part of the individual. So Porta Potti can go wherever the toilet is needed. And since it comes with its own fresh water for rinsing, you don’t have to worry about using it in areas without water. Depending on the model, the Porta Potti averages 27-62 washes at idle. When the bottom tank is full, separate the sections, take the bottom section to each toilet and put it in.

We recommend using Thetford’s Aqua-Clean®, a high-grade non-detergent product and a tissue or tissue paper. Do not use strong household cleaners or cleaners containing strong acids or abrasives such as toothpaste. They can scratch the surface of your Porta Potti, reduce its appearance, and even damage gaskets or plastic parts, affecting its performance.

FAQS

How do you maintain a Thetford toilet?
We advise that when cleaning the seal and blade you use Thetford bathroom cleaner and rinse with water. NEVER use household cleaners as they could cause irreversible damage to the seal and other parts.
How do you know when your Thetford toilet is full?
It’s also much simpler than you may realise. Here are a few tips to help make it as easy as possible: Most cassette toilets have a red indicator light that will tell you when the tank is full. Because you’ll be getting up close to the waste in your toilet cassette, it’s important to put safety first.
Can you use normal toilet paper in a Thetford toilet?
Thetford Aqua Soft toilet paper is a super-soft toilet paper which is specially developed for mobile toilets. It quickly dissolves and prevents clogging which prevents damage to the moving parts in your waste-holding tank. It also makes the waste-holding tank easier to empty. So yes, you do need special toilet paper.
Why is my Thetford toilet showing red?
When the red light of the level indicator on the control panel lights up, the waste-holding tank is full. You can check if your waste-holding tank has a 1-level or a 3-level indication. Make sure the tank is empty and place it back properly.
What do you use to clean a Thetford toilet?
Another good option is Thetford Duo Tank Cleaner which can be used to keep your grey water tank clean too. For an even easier option, Walex Bio-Paks can be simply dropped into your cassette. These start working immediately to control odours and break down solids. They’re also completely safe for the environment.
