Connecting speakers/subwoofer
Connecting external devices
Connect to an HDMI jack labeled as “ARC” or “eARC” when a TV is equipped with two or more HDMI jacks.
Connecting the FM/AM antennas
Connecting to a network with the Music Cast CONTROLLER app
- Download the dedicated Music Cast CONTROLLER app to your mobile device on the App Store or Google Play
- Follow the app’s on-screen instructions to configure network settings.
Optimizing the Speaker Settings
The Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimizer (YPAO) function detects speaker connections, measures the distances from them to your listening position(s), and then automatically optimizes the speaker settings, such as volume balance and acoustic parameters, to suit your room.
- Turn on the subwoofer and set the volume to half maximum.
- Connect the YPAO microphone to the unit.
- Press ENTER on the remote control. The measurement will start in 10 seconds. It takes about 3 minutes to measure.
- Confirm the results displayed on the TV and press ENTER on the remote control.
- Use the cursor keys (e/r) on the remote control to select “Save” and press ENTER on the remote control.
- Disconnect the YPAO microphone from the unit.
