Basic Opertions

  • Turning Handset On/Off:
  • PressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 2, then the LCD screen lights up.
  • Place the Handset in the charger cradle to turn on automatically.
  • Long pressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 2, again to turn the Handset off.

Locking/Unlocking keypad:

  • Long pressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 3, when the Handset is idle to lock the keypad.

Switching Silent Mode On/Off:

Make a Call
Enter the desired number when the handset, then pressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 5.

To place a call from the local directory 

  • PressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 6, when the handset is idle.
  • Select the directory.
    • Internal use directory
    • External use LDAP
  • Press Yealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 7orYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 6 highlight the desired entry, and then then pressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 5.

Answer a Call, do one of the following:

  • Press the Accept soft key.
  • Alternatively, pressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 8.

Put a Call on Hold

  1. Press the Options soft key during a call, and then select Hold.
  2. To resume the call, press the Resume soft key.

Access the Directory

  • Press the keyYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 9, to enter the main menu, and then select Directory OR
  • When the Handset is idle pressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 6.

Transfer a Call to Another Person

  1. Press the Options soft key during the call, and then select Transfer.
  2. Enter the number you want to transfer the call to.
  3. Press the Transfer soft key.

Make a Call with the Speakerphone

  1. Enter a number using the keypad.
  2. Press SpeakerphoneYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 10.

Mute Your Audio

  1. PressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 11, during a call to mute the call.
  2.  PressYealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 11, again to turn the mute off.

To end a Call

  • Press Yealink W53p Internet Phone User Manual fig 2.

Listen to Your Voice Messages

Press the Messages keys and follow the voice prompts. To check messages for a specific line, press the line button first.

Adjust the Volume in a Call

Adjust the Ringtone Volume

View Call History

  1. Press History

Redial

  1. Press the green call button.
