Powering BH45TWS On/Off

Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to power on the unit. The speaker will be in Bluetooth mode automatically when powered on. For Aux connectivity simply plug in an aux cord and the speaker will switch to Aux mode automatically. To play music from your MicroSD card, insert a MicroSD card and the speaker will automatically switch to that mode. To power the speaker off, simply press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

NOTE:
The speaker will automatically power off after 15 minutes if the Bluetooth connection is not paired with a device.

Connecting BH45TWS via Bluetooth
After powering on the speaker it will automatically enter Bluetooth Pairing Mode. The center ring will blink slowly blue to indicate that it is powered on and searching for a Bluetooth source to pair with. Go into your phone/tablet’s Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth. Next, enter the Bluetooth device list and select BH45TWS.

After selecting, wait a few seconds for the pairing to complete. Once the pairing is successful, you will hear an audible tone from the speaker, and a blue LED will stay solidly lit Bell Howell BH45TWS Wireless Stereo Bluetooth Speaker Guide fig 2To disconnect your phone press and hold the. button for 3 seconds.

NOTE:
An additional battery icon may appear next to the Bluetooth icon at the top right of your phone/tablet’s screen, indicating the speaker’s battery level. This is compatible only with certain devices.

Linking another BH45TWS for True Wireless Sound

The BH45TWS includes True Wireless Stereo (TWS) technology. This enables you to link two speakers to emit a true left/right stereo sound Power on both speakers. Press and hold the MODE button on one speaker for 3 seconds until an audible tone is heard from the speaker This speaker will now be the master speaker. The ring in the center will flash rapidly blue to indicate that it is powered on and searching fo another BH45TWS to link to.

An audible tone will follow within 15 seconds from both speakers, indicating that they have successfully linked together. If a device is already connected to the speaker then the center ring on both speakers will be solid blue to show both speakers are linked. If a device is not connected, the master speaker will have a slowly flashing blue ring, and the slave will have a solid blue ring. Now connect your device to the master speaker. Once connected both rings will be solid blue. When linked, they work together as a true left and right stereo speaker; splitting the audio signal to the correct channels.

NOTE:

When TWS is enabled, you only need to Bluetooth-pair to one speaker. If you are not already paired to the master speaker, one speaker will have the blue ring flashing slowly to indicate it’s in pairing mode. If you are already connected to the master speaker then both rings will be lit solid blue. Go into your phone/tablet’s Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.

Next, enter the Bluetooth device list and select BH45TWS. After selecting, wait a few seconds for the pairing to complete. Once the pairing is successful, you will hear and audible tone from the speaker and the center ring will stay solid blue. This will connect your phone/tablet with the master speaker which will wirelessly broadcast the left audio signal to the slave speaker.

Connecting BH45TWS via Auxiliary Input

If you would like to use a device that is not equipped with Bluetooth technology, simply connect the included auxiliary 3.5mm cable from your device to the Aux input at the base of the BH45TWS. The speaker will automatically be in Aux mode. The top ring will light up red to indicate Aux mode. Tap the mode button to cycle between modes.

Listening to Music from a MicroSD
Card If you would like to listen to music loaded on a MicroSD card, simply power on the speaker and insert a MicroSD card into the base of the speaker. Be sure that music is in MP3 format and is stored in the root of the MicroSD card’s directory. MicroSD mode will automatically start playing upon inserting a MicroSD card. The top ring will light up green to indicate MicroSD mode.

Charging your BH45TWS
Simply plug the included USB cord into the USB port at the base of the speaker. Once plugged in, the LED on the back will illuminate RED. It will turn green once the internal battery is fully charged.
