IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Always unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.Allow to cool before cleaning or handling.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or lever.

- This appliance should not be used by or near children, or individuals with certain disabilities. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has malfunctioned or has been dropped, dropped in water or damaged in any way, or if it is not operating properly. Return the toaster to the store or retailer where purchased for examination, repair or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by Cuisinart may cause injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or countertop or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place toaster on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

Introducing a toaster built for all of your favorite artisan, homemade, and bakery breads. Each slot can hold two regular-sized slices of bread or an extra-long slice from your favorite bakery. Longer slots are wider too, to accommodate different shapes, thicker slices, and bigger bagels.Love thin-sliced breads? Self-adjusting toasting grids promise to perfectly toast every piece.

FUNCTIONS
Bagel
The Bagel function adds extra time to the toasting cycle to allow for thicker breads. Bagel LED will be lit when selected.
Defrost
The Defrost function is a longer cycle designed to first defrost and then toast the bread to the desired browning shade. Defrost LED will be lit when selected.
Reheat
The Reheat function allows to reheat bread without browning or toasting. Reheat LED will be lit when selected.
Cancel
The Cancel function will stop the toasting process and automatically lift the bread.
GENERAL OPERATION
Insert slice(s) of bread
Slots are large enough for 4 regular-sized slices or 2 long slices.
Note: Make sure that the lever is in the up position.
Set the browning level
Turn dial to desired shade setting number 1–7.Shade range is as follows:
SETTING COLOR
- 1–2 light
- 3–4 medium
- 5–7 dark
- 3. To begin toasting
Press the carriage lever until it locks in the down position and toasting will begin.
Select desired bread options
Bagel, Reheat and/or Defrost can only be selected once the lever is in the down position and toasting has started. Blue indicator will light up indicating function has been selected.
To stop cycle
When the toasting cycle is finished, the toast will be raised. If you wish to stop the cycle before it is finished, simply touch the Cancel button.After use, unplug the toaster from the electrical outlet.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always allow the toaster to cool completely before cleaning.
- Always unplug the toaster from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners. Simply wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- To remove crumbs, slide out the crumb tray and discard crumbs Wipe clean and replace. Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray in place.
- To remove any pieces of bread remaining in the toaster, unplug the toaster, turn it upside down and gently shake. Never insert any hard or sharp instruments into the slots, as this could damage the toaster and
cause a safety hazard. - Never wrap the cord around the outside of the toaster. Use the cord storage cleats on the underside of the toaster.
- Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

Limited Three-Year Warranty
This warranty is available only to U.S. consumers who purchase products directly from Cuisinart® or an authorized Cuisinart® reseller.You are a consumer if you own a Cuisinart® Long Slot Toaster that was
purchased at retail for personal, family or household use. Except as otherwise required under applicable law, this warranty is not available to retailers or other commercial purchasers or owners or consumers who purchase from unauthorized Cuisinart® resellers.
CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY
California law provides that for In-Warranty Service, California residents have the option of returning a nonconforming product (A) to the store where it was purchased or (B) to another retail store that sells Cuisinart
products of the same type. The retail store shall then, according to its preference, either repair the product, refer the consumer to an independent repair facility, replace the product, or refund the purchase price less the amount directly attributable to the consumer’s prior usage of the product.

expressly excludes any defects or damages caused by attempted use of this unit with a converter, as well as use with accessories, replacement parts or repair service other than those authorized by Cuisinart. This warranty does not cover any damage caused by accident, misuse, shipment or other than ordinary household use. This warranty excludes all incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of these damages, so these exclusions may not apply to you. You may also have other rights, which vary from state to
state.
