Safety instruction pertaining to risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons WARNING-When using electric products, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all the instructions before using the product.
- Do not use this product near water for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, a wet basement, or near a swimming pool, or the like.
- This product should be used only with a cart or stand that is recommended by the manufacturer.
- This product, either alone or in combination with an amplifier and headphones or speakers, may be capable of producing sound levels that could cause permanent hearing loss. Do not operate for a long period of time at a high volume level or at a level that is uncomfortable. If you experience any hearing loss or ringing in the ears, you should consult an audiologist.
- The product should be located so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation.
- The product should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, or other products that produce heat.
- The product should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the product.
- The power-supply cord of the product should be unplugged from the outlet when left unused for a long period of time.
- Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.
FEATURES
This thermoelectric unit is designed to be a portable storage container for cold drinks and cold food in “COLD” mode. The unit can chill to approximately 32°F/18°C below ambient temperature. The unit is powered by a 12 Volt DC system such as a vehicle, or can be powered from a house 110 Volt AC system.
MODE SELECTION
COLD – Move the sliding switch to “COLD”, the unit will cool and a green light will be on. OFF – Move the sliding switch to “OFF”, the unit will be off.
MAINTENANCE
- Keep cords and cigarette lighter sockets clean at all times. Small tobacco or dirt particles in the socket or the plug may affect performance.
- The motor, fan, and control panel vents should be cleaned periodically. While the unit is unplugged, clean the fan blades and motor shaft using a paintbrush or other soft-bristled brush. Remove all hair, dirt, or dust that may have accumulated.
- To clean, wipe the inside with a warm damp cloth or sponge. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners. A mild soap should be sufficient, but if stains or odors remain, household bleach or baking soda may be added to the washing solution. Keep the lid open for several hours after cleaning to allow the interior to thoroughly dry and to prevent odors from forming in the cooler.
- For long periods of storage, a small container of baking soda or charcoal, placed inside, will eliminate objectionable odors.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
- The power switch should be put in the”OFF” position for over 5 minutes before changing the working mode.
- When the cooling function is on, keep in a well-ventilated area. Don’t block the ventilation of the unit.
- Do not operate under direct sunlight.
- Do not disturb the airflow of the unit.
- Do not pour water into the unit directly.
- Do not use near water. Keep the unit out of wet weather conditions.
- Use a damp cloth to clean the unit; do not submerge the unit in water.
- When leaving the unit for a long time, put it in a well-ventilated area.
- Avoid dropping the unit.
- Keep the unit away from fire or other flammable substances.
- Do not store meats, poultry, fish, dairy products, and other items that may spoil in the unit for more than one hour.
- The use of extension cords is not recommended with this product.
LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY
This quality product is warranted to be free from the manufacturer’s defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal operating conditions intended by the manufacturer. TERMS OF WARRANTY
C.I. Service Dept. warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year on parts and 1 year on labor. If you originally purchased your product more than 1 year ago, a repair fee will apply. Nothing within this warranty shall imply that C.I. will be responsible or liable for any damage to any items placed in this appliance, whether due to any defect of the appliance, or its use, whether proper or improper.
EXCLUSIONS
Save as herein provided, C.I. Service Dept. (Canada) or C.I. Service Dept. (USA), there are no other warranties, conditions, representations, or guarantees, express or implied, made or intended by C.I. or its authorized distributors, and all other warranties, conditions, representations or guarantees, including any warranties, conditions, representations or guarantees under any Sale of Goods Act or like legislation or statue is hereby expressly excluded. Save as herein provided, C.I. Service Dept.
(Canada) or C.I. Service Dept. (USA), shall not be responsible for any damages to persons or property, including the unit itself, howsoever caused or any consequential damages arising from the malfunction of the unit and by the purchase of the unit, the purchaser does hereby agree to indemnify and save harmless C.I. from any claim for damages to persons or property caused by the unit.
TO OBTAIN REPAIRS UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY
- The original purchaser must present a copy of the original bill of sale and the service warranty card.
- Any alterations, abuse, misuse, battery corrosion, or accidental damage voids the warranty.
- The warranty does not cover cabinets and accessories.
- No warranty or insurance contained or set out shall apply when damage or repair is caused by power failure; damage in transit or when moving the unit; improper power supply; use for commercial or industrial purposes; service calls resulting in customer education, etc. The defective product should be taken or mailed to:
