Safety Information

PRECAUTIONS

  1. This document serves only as an installation guide. Refer to your state and/or local plumbing or onsite wastewater treatment and disposal regulations for details pertaining to your system’s design, installation, and maintenance requirements.
  2. Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference.
  3. This product is for use with residential sump pumps only with a maximum of 12 psi. 4. A factory-drilled weep hole at the discharge connection prevents pump air lock.

DANGER:
Do not handle a pump or pump motor with wet hands or when standing on a wet or damp surface, or in water. If the basement floor is wet, do not walk on the wet area until all power is turned off. If the shut-off box is in the basement, call the electric company to shut off service to the house, or call your local fire department for instructions. Remove the pump and repair or replace it. Failure to follow this warning can result in fatal electrical shock.

Warranty

The manufacturer warrants to the original consumer purchaser of the Sump Pump Discharge Kit that it will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the Warranty Period of 12 months from the date of purchase. The date of purchase shall be determined by the original dated sales receipt. The manufacturer shall not be liable under this Warranty for any product that, in our sole judgment, has been subject to negligence, misapplication, improper installation, or improper maintenance. Also, the manufacturer shall not be liable under this Warranty if the product has been disassembled, modified, abused, or tampered with.

Your sole remedy, and the manufacturer’s only duty, is that the manufacturer repair or replace defective systems (at the manufacturer’s choice). You must pay all labor and shipping charges associated with this warranty. No request for service will be accepted if received after the Warranty Period has expired. This warranty is non-transferable. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or contingent damages whatsoever.

The manufacturer makes no warranty regarding the suitability of a product for a particular installation. This warranty excludes all industrial, agricultural, commercial, and business usage of this system. The foregoing warranties are exclusive and in lieu of all other express and implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The foregoing warranties shall not extend beyond the duration expressly provided herein. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on the duration of the implied warranty, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state. This warranty applies to only products installed in the United States of America and Canada. This warranty supersedes and replaces all previous warranty publications. • Place the pump (not included) to be installed on the floor.
  •  Apply threaded tape to the discharge pipe with weep hole (A) and hand-tighten it into the pump’s discharge opening.
  • Place the pump in the basin (not included) and align the discharge pipe with weephole (A) under your existing discharge pipe (1). Replace the basin cover so that the discharge pipe with weep hole (A) passes through the discharge opening. Do not secure it yet.
  • Measure the distance between the end of the discharge pipe with weephole (A) and your existing discharge pipe (1) to ensure it is greater than 31 inches. If it is not, cut your existing discharge pipe to ensure the minimum 31 in. distance.

  • Tighten all the hose clamps on the pipe with check valve (C) and the additional discharge pipe (D) (if necessary) with a flathead screwdriver. Do not exceed 15 in-lbs.
  • Slide the coupling pipe (B) into a position so that it covers at least 1 in. of the discharge pipe with weep hole (A) and pipe with check valve (C).
  • Tighten all the hose clamps on the coupling pipe (B) with a flathead screwdriver. Do not exceed 15 in-lbs.
  • Reattach your existing discharge flange and vent to the cover as necessary and secure the cover to the basin.
