How It All Fits Together
Connect your HD source (Video)
Connect the component video cable (red, green & blue connectors) to your cable or satellite receiver, or other high definition video source. For standard definition sources, use the included breakout cable. Refer to the setup wizard in the EyeTV software for more details.
Connect the audio cable to your cable or satellite receiver, or other video source.
Connect Infrared Channel Changer
Connect the remote channel changer cable to EyeTV HD. Place the infrared emitter (the clear bulb at the end of the cable) so it faces the front panel of the cable or satellite receiver. Later, when you know that it is working correctly, you can hide the cable under the receiver and use the double-stick pads to secure the emitter in place.
Connect USB cable and install software
Connect EyeTV HD to your Mac, using the supplied USB cable. Do not use the USB port on your keyboard as it does not supply adequate power. Finally insert the software CD, install EyeTV and follow the instructions in the setup wizard.
