Polarized Plug:
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, the plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. Do not try to modify the plug in any way.

Short Cord Instructions:
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.

HINGED LID:
For easy filling, cleaning, and storage, the lid is hinged and can be opened with a push of a button. The lid is attached and cannot be removed.

LID RELEASE BUTTON:
Thumb-action control opens the lid with the gentle press of the release for easy cleaning and filling.

SPOUT:
Large opening for easy pouring.

REMOVABLE FILTER:
The filter will prevent unwanted particles from entering your drink. It is important to keep the filter clean, so we made it easy to remove. Follow care and cleaning instructions.

STAY COOL HANDLE:
Always use the handle when moving the kettle. Remains cool during use for safe use.

WATER LEVEL MARKINGS:
Always fill the kettle with cold water between the minimum and maximum levels.

POWER INDICATOR LIGHT:
Lights will appear when the appliance is heated and off when the desired temperature is reached.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL BUTTONS:
Press to select the desired temperature (175°F, 190°F, 200°F, and Boil).

ON/CANCEL BUTTON:
Press the button to turn on the power to the base.

BASE STATION w/ CORD STORAGE:
Allows the kettle to be placed on the base in 360° rotation, giving you the flexibility to position the base anywhere on the counter. Underneath the base station, you can wrap the cord for easy storage and adjust the length to meet your needs.

Before the first time use
  1. Read and understand all instructions and keep them for future reference.
  2. Remove all packaging and labels.
  3. Clean all parts, except Base, following the ‘Care and Cleaning ’ section in this book.
  4. Wipe the Base with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. WARNING: NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE OR KETTLE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.

Operating Instructions

  1. Unwrap the cord and place the base station on a sturdy and flat surface.
  2. Open the kettle lid by pressing the lid release button located on the handle. The lid will hinge open automatically.
  3. Fill with cold water up to the desired level between the minimum and maximum levels for proper functioning.
    • Do not overfill past the maximum level. Boiling water may spill out and cause severe burn injury.
    • Never fill the kettle with anything other than water, do not add instant soup or use it to heat any food.
  4. Gently press the lid down until it locks into closed position.
  5. Place the kettle on the base station. If correct, connect the cord to an electrical outlet.
  6. Gently press the ON/CANCEL button then press the desired temperature setting.
  7. When water reaches the set temperature the control button will begin to flash, indicating the heating cycle is complete and will keep water warm for 30 minutes. If select BOIL the kettle will cycle once and turn off.
  8. Lift the kettle by the handle and slowly tilt it to pour water from the spout into the cup.
  9. Before disconnecting the plug from the electrical outlet, always turn off the kettle or lift the kettle from the base station.

Care and Cleaning Instructions

  • Remove the cord from the electrical outlet and make sure the kettle has cooled before handling.
  • Clean the base by wiping it with a clean, damp, cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Wipe dry.
  • Rinse the interior of the kettle using clean water and gently wipe dry using a lint-free cloth.
  • Do not leave standing water in the kettle. Always discard unused water and dry interior surfaces when not in use.
  • To remove the filter, open the lid and lift the tab on the filter to the inside. Filter will hinge, grasp with fingers, and gently remove.
  • Boiling water can leave behind harmless, white calcium deposits inside the kettle and mainly on the stainless steel heater cover. Use a commercially available decalcifying agent or add 1 oz. vinegar to the water, fill to a minimum level and run the BOIL cycle. Hint: If the kettle switches off before the water reaches the set point, it may need to be decalcified. Frequency depends on the hardness of the water and the number of uses.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

This appliance is warranted for one year from the date of original purchase against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover transportation damage, misuse, accident, or similar incident. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state.

This product is intended for household use only, not for commercial use. The warranty does not cover commercial use. Your new NESCO® appliance comes equipped with numerous safety features. Any attempt to interfere with the operation of these safety features makes this warranty null and void.

Must include proof of purchase or copy of original bill of sale when returning the product for warranty service.
  • For service in the warranty, follow the instructions set forth in the warranty.
  • Call us on our toll-free number, 1-800-288-4545, and tell us about your problem.
  • If we instruct you to send all or part of your appliance to us for repair or replacement, our Customer Satisfaction representative will provide a Return Authorization number (this number notifies our receiving department to expedite your repair).
  • Print your name, address, and Return Authorization number on the carton.
  • Write a letter explaining the problem.
  • Attach the sealed envelope containing the letter inside the carton. Insure the package for the value of the NESCO® appliance and ship prepaid to:
