Operating Instructions

  1. Wash parts with soapy water and rinse. Reduce splashing and dump dirty water by lifting the Tub from the Motor Drive to keep water from entering the Motor Drive area.
  2. Using Tub handles, lift the Drum and insert the Drive Shaft into the Drive Coupling. Lower the opposite end shaft of the Drum into a groove on the Bearing Block.
  3. Place the unit on a level surface and add water to the “Maximum Fill Line”. The water level inside of Drum should be 1/4” to 1/2” above the bottom. CAUTION: DO NOT POUR WATER OVER MOTOR DRIVE!
  4. Release the Latch by lifting and opening the door, and place the fish into the Drum. For best results load scaler by similar size and types of fish.
  5. Note: TD-6065-13 (18” long drum) will scale up to 50 small panfish and TD-6065-13L (26” long drum) is designed to scale large fis up to 22” in length.
  6. Close the door and lock the Latch by pressing firmly.
  7. Check that the Switch is in the OFF position and hands are dried. Plug cord into standard grounded 120 V.a.c. outlet. If the grounded outlet is not available use the adapter as shown on page 2.
  8. Flip the Switch to the ON position and allow “Tumble Drumm™” to operate for about 10 to 25 minutes.
  9. Turn the switch to the OFF position and allow the Drum to stop rotating. Release the latch, open the door, and inspect the fish. The drum has sharp edges that can cause cuts and abrasions.

Care and Cleaning

  1. Be sure the cord is disconnected from the outlet and the switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Remove the Drum from the Tub and rinse it with clean water. The drum has sharp edges that can cause cuts and abrasions.
  3. Dump the dirty water by tilting the Tub with the Motor Drive upwards. Rinse with clean water. NOTE: If scales are dried, try soaking parts by filling the Tub with warm soapy water to the Maximum Fill Line, add the Drum, and cycle without fish for several minutes.
  4. Rinse all parts separately and allow to dry thoroughly. The Tub and Motor Drive can be wiped with a dry cloth.
  5. Store indoors in a dry place. Do not be exposed to rain.
