Polaris ATLAS-XT Suction Pool Cleaner User Manual
WARNING:
RISK OF SUCTION ENTRAPMENT HAZARD, WHICH IF NOT AVOIDED, CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. READ THIS MANUAL IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE INSTALLING AND OPERATING THE CLEANER. Ensure that the vacuum suction fittings installed in your pool for connection of your suction-side pool cleaner are certified compliant with applicable safety standards, such as IAPMO SPS 4. Do not block the suction fittings in the pool, the suction opening on this product, or the cleaner hoses with any part of your body. Do not expose your hair, loose clothing, jewelry, etc. to any suction outlet fittings in the pool/spa, on this product, or on the cleaner. Do not operate the cleaner outside of the pool. Do not let children play with cleaner.
To avoid serious injury, turn off the pool filter pump before installation. Clean pool filter, pump basket, and skimmer basket. (2) Close the main drain to the pool. (3) Aim the return line fittings down.
Connect to a skimmer
A Dedicated Suction Line
Required Length of Hose = Farthest point across pool +1 (Leader Hose) (h). Start at the skimmer or dedicated suction line
- Submerge the hose and flood it with water (no bubbles visible).
- Submerge cleaner and flood with water (no bubbles visible).
- Connect the cleaner head to the hose.
- Turn on the pool filter pump.
Check Cleaner Flow
Watch the indicator. Use a stopwatch to time 10 wheel rotations. *If wheels change direction during timing, start over.
Adjust flow if necessary
Adjust flow via one of the following methods:
- Flowkeeper valve at the skimmer
- Valves at the equipment pad
- Pump speed (variable speed pumps only
Storage
Store the cleaner out of the water on its side. Unlock hoses and store straight or standing up.
