INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of the RoboTwist Electric Jar Opener! You will soon be removing lids from jars with ease with our simple one-touch operation system. Strong enough for even the toughest jars, it’s effortless, easy, and ideal for those with injured, arthritic, or just plain busy hands. No need to twist, pull, struggle, or risk injury when you can use your RoboTwist Electric Jar Opener!

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Read all instructions carefully before using your Jar Opener.
  • Close supervision is necessary when your Jar Opener is used by or near children
  • Ensure that they do not play with your Jar Opener.
  • DO NOT touch moving parts during operation or when changing batteries.
  • Keep hands, hair, jewelry, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from the jar opener moving parts during operation to prevent injury, and/or damage to the unit.
  • If anything is trapped by the Jar Opener during operation, immediately press the Main button once to release it.
BATTERIES
  • Make sure the motor has stopped completely before removing the battery cover to replace the batteries and before cleaning.
  • While replacing batteries, DO NOT press the switch on the top of the Jar Opener to avoid turning the unit on, and keep fingers away from the moving parts.
  • Always remove any exhausted batteries. Replace all batteries at the same time and never mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types or quality.

OPERATION

  • This Jar Opener is suitable for opening regular and vacuum-style glass screw-top jars and is intended for household use only. Any other use is not recommended.
  • DO NOT use the Jar Opener on plastic jars.
  • DO NOT use the Jar Opener to open jar lids smaller than 1.2 inches (30mm) or bigger than 3.5 inches (88mm) in diameter.
  • DO NOT use the Jar Opener to open jar body smaller than 1 inch (25mm) or bigger than 3.5 inches (88mm) in diameter.
  • DO NOT use the Jar Opener to open jars with steep curves, or irregular shapes where the jaws grip.
  • DO NOT use the Jar Opener if there are any signs of defects on the jar lid or chipped glass around the jar.
  • Always place the jar on a flat non-slippery surface.
  • Remove any safety seal on the jar before using the Jar Opener.
  • To prevent toppling and spillage when opening small or tall jars, please secure the jar with one hand and gently hold the Jar Opener with your other hand.
  • DO NOT remove the Jar Opener until the lid is open and the Jar Opener has completely stopped.

GETTING STARTED

BATTERY INSTALLATION

Note: Keep hands away from the Inner and Outer Jaws while installing batteries.

  1. Press the gripping area at the side of the battery door and pull it back. Insert 2 AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries into the battery compartment according to polarity. (Fig.1)
  2. After installing the batteries, replace the battery cover. Note: Remember to always replace batteries at the same time, never mix old and new types of batteries, and never mix batteries of different types or quality.

USING YOUR AUTOMATIC JAR OPENER

  1. Remove the paper or plastic neckband seal from the Jar.
  2. Move the rubber grip of the Outer Jaws all the way down. (Fig.2)
  3. With the Jar on a flat, not slippery surface, place your Automatic Jar Opener evenly on top of the Jar.
  4. Press and hold the Start Button. The outer Jaws will begin to move in. Release the button when the Outer Jaws pause and the Inner Jaws begin to move. (Fig.3) Note: DO NOT put your fingers near or in the jaws during the operation process. Press the Release Button once to reset the unit. Avoid contact with any of the moving parts during operation. Keep hands, hair, jewelry, clothing and utensils away from the moving parts to avoid injury and/or damage to your Automatic Jar Opener.
  5. The Inner Jaws will grip the Jar Lid and then the Outer Jaws will resume their movement to hold the Jar securely. Then the Inner Jaw will rotate to open the jar lid.
  6. After opening the lid, the jaws of your Automatic Jar Opener will return to their original position and stop automatically. Note: To prevent toppling and spillage when opening small or tall jars, please secure the jar with one hand and gently hold the Jar Opener Body with your other hand. Let the Jar Opener rotate until the lid is open.
  7. When the Jar Opener switches off, lift the Jar Opener off the Jar. Always ensure that the lid is completely unscrewed from the jar by holding the jar with one hand while removing the lid with the other hand.
  8. To re-open a jar that has been stored in the refrigerator, wipe the moisture from the Lid and Jar prior to using your Automatic Jar opener (Any moisture might cause the jaws to slip).
CLEANING AND CARE 
  1. Gently wipe surfaces with a clean, damp, soft cloth.
  2. Use only gentle and non-abrasive cleaners on your Automatic Jar Opener.
  3. DO NOT immerse the Jar Opener in water or any other liquids, as this may cause damage.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Jaws cannot grip the jar tight enough and the opener slips during the operation
Use a dry cloth to clean the Lid, jar/bottle, and the Jar Opener’s rubber grips

The Jar Opener lifts up when opening a jar.
Press the main button fully for one second during the operation to release the Jar Opener and reset to its original position

Disposal
The packaging material can be recycled. Please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a recycling center. If you wish to dispose of this equipment at any point, please do so in an environmentally friendly manner. It should not be disposed of alongside general household waste. Instead, please take it to the recycling point for electrical goods. Your local council will be able to advise you further. Batteries should not be thrown away in household waste. Please ensure that you always dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries only when they are empty. Your local council will be able to advise you further.
