OPERATION

  1. BATTERY OPERATION
    • a. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit by using a Phillips-head screwdriver.
    • b. Insert three (3) “AA” size alkaline batteries (not included) as indicated on the diagram.
    • c Replace the cover tightly before operating by using a Phillips-head screwdriver
      CAUTION:
    • Replace all batteries at the same time.
    • Do not mix old batteries with new batteries.
  2. Slide the ON/OFF switch on the battery case to the ON position.
  3. Mic holder strap.
  4. Adjust the backpack straps to a comfortable length.
  5. Slide the ON/OFF switch on the Mic to the ON position; the power indicator will light up.
  6. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level by pressing the VOL + or VOL – button on the unit
  7. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level by pressing the VOL + or VOL – button on the unit.
  8. Press SINGING-MACHINE-SMK010-Sing-Along-Crew-Lil-Rex-Guide-fig-2 the button to play two different built-in songs.
  9. Press the 1 or 2 button to play two different built-in sound effects.
  10. Press the REC button to record your singing, the record indicator will blink red. You can press the REC button again to stop recording, the indicator will turn off. This unit can record for 2 minutes. It will stop recording automatically after 2 minutes and the record indicator will turn off.
  11. To playback your voice recording, you can press the SINGING-MACHINE-SMK010-Sing-Along-Crew-Lil-Rex-Guide-fig-3 button. Press again to stop

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS

The precautions below should be followed when using batteries in this device:

  1. Warning – Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
  2. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
  3. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
  4. Do not mix different types of batteries (e.g. Alkaline, Rechargeable, and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
  5. If the device is not to be used for a long period, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
  6. Do not try to recharge a battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture. (Follow the battery manufacturer’s directions.)
  7. Remove the batteries promptly once their charge is low.
  8. Clean the battery contact and also those of the device before installing the battery.

Troubleshooting Guide

Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service:

No Power

  • Power is not on; slide the ON/OFF button on the battery case and microphone to turn the unit on.
  • Confirm that the batteries are installed correctly.
  • Replace with new batteries.
  • The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong electromagnetic interference. If so, simply restart the product to resume normal operation by following the instruction manual. In the event, the function does not resume, please use the machine in another part of the home.

No Sound – General

  • VOLUME is set to a minimum; raise the volume.

No sound from the microphone

  • Make sure the microphone is turned on.
  • VOLUME is set to a minimum; raise the volume

Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as the power- supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  14. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
  15. CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire or explosion, do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or other heat sources.
  16. CAUTION! ELECTRICALLY OPERATED PRODUCT
    Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. As with all electric products, precautions should be observed during handling and use to prevent electrical shock

LIMITED WARRANTY AND SERVICE

THE SINGING MACHINE COMPANY, INC. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of sale to the original consumer purchaser. The product will be repaired or replaced with a new or reconditioned product at no additional charge if it is proven to be defective within the ninety (90) days period when said product is returned at the customer’s expense within the warranty period.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE REMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT. This warranty does not apply to any product damaged by accident, misuse, abuse, improper line voltage, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of God, or any parts or services furnished by you or anyone else. The warranty does not cover cartons, carrying cases, batteries, broken or damaged cabinets, or any items used in connection with the product or consequential damage due to defects in the product.

This warranty does not cover products sold AS IS or Re-manufactured units or units sold outside the SMC distribution channel. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. THIS IS THE COMPLETE WARRANTY AND NO OTHER EXPRESSED WARRANTY IS VALID. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR AN EXCLUSION OR LIMITATIONS OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
