IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  • This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • Do not run the cord under the carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from trafficked areas and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect the heater, turn the controls off, then remove the plug from the outlet.
CAUTION

Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

  • Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord and do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
  • Connect the power plug to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency the appliance can be unplugged immediately. Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet to completely switch off the appliance. Use the power plug as the disconnection device.
  • Disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Always turn the appliance off before disconnecting the power plug.
  • The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.

Before First Use

Operation

CAUTION

NOTICE
The power indicator stays on as long as the power plug is connected to the power source.

Thermostat control
  • Set the desired temperature using the thermostat knob.
  • The heater will now start operating. It will reach and then maintain the pre-set temperature.

NOTICE
It is normal for the heater to cycle on and off to maintain the preset temperature. To prevent the heater from doing so, increase the temperature with the thermostat knob.

Tip-Over switch
The heater is designed to automatically shut off when tipped over. When returned to the proper upright position, the heater will resume normal operation.

Overheat shutdown
The product will automatically shut off when it overheats. Make sure the heater is clear of all obstructions. Reset the product to resume normal operation. (see Troubleshooting)

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Before cleaning always remove the plug from the power source.
  • During cleaning do not immerse the electrical parts of the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
  • Clean the product with a slightly damp cloth. Do not allow water or other liquids to enter the product’s interior.
  • Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions, or hard brushes for cleaning.
  • Let all parts dry afterward.

Storage

  • When not in use, store the product in its original packaging.
  • Do not wrap the cord around the product.
  • Store the product in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting
If the heater does not operate:

  • Ensure that the circuit breaker or fuse is working properly.

  • Plug another product into the power source to confirm that it’s working.
