BASIC OPERATIONS

Press MODE to cycle through CHRONO, ALARM, and TIMER modes. Press INDIGLO to illuminate watch face. In any mode, press MODE to view time display. Press any button to stop alarm or timer beeps.

TIME AND DATE

  1. Press and hold SET. HOURS digits will flash.
  2. Press START/STOP or DATE to change hour digits. Go through 12 hours for AM or PM.
  3. Press MODE to select MINUTES.
  4. Press START/STOP or DATE to change.
  5. Repeat to set MONTH, DATE, DAY, 12- or 24-hour time display, DAY-MONTH or MONTH-DAY date display.
  6. Press SET when done. Press DATE to display date. Press again to display time.

CHRONOGRAPH

  1. Press MODE until CHRONO appears.
  2. Press START/STOP to start. indicates chrono is on.
  3.  Press DATE to view lap or split time. Display pauses for 7 seconds.
  4. Press START/STOP to pause.
  5.  Press START/STOP to resume.
  6. When timing is stopped, press and hold DATE to reset Chrono.

ALARM

  1. Press MODE until ALARM appears.
  2.  Press and hold SET to select HOURS. Digits will flash.
  3. Press START/STOP or DATE to change hour digits. Go through 12 hours for AM or PM.
  4. Press MODE to select MINUTES.
  5. Press START/STOP or DATE to change. Press SET when done.
  6.  Press START/STOP to turn the alarmed on or off. indicates the alarm is on.

When the alarm time is reached, the watch will beep and the INDIGLO® display will flash for 20 seconds, or until a watch button is pushed. The alarm will repeat every 24 hours until deactivated.

TIMER

  1. Press MODE until TIMER appears.
  2. Press and hold SET to select HOURS. Digits will flash.
  3. Press START/STOP or DATE to change digits.
  4. Press MODE to select MINUTES. Press START/STOP or DATE to change.
  5. Repeat to set SECONDS.
  6.  Press SET when done.
  7. Press START/STOP to start the timer. indicates the timer is running.
  8. Press START/STOP to pause, and press again to resume.
  9.  When the timer is stopped, press DATE to reset the timer to the beginning.
  10. Press and hold SET to set a new countdown time.

The watch will beep when the countdown ends.

INDIGLO® NIGHT LIGHT WITH NIGHT-MODE® FEATURE

  1. A. Press INDIGLO to activate the light. Electroluminescent technology used in the INDIGLO® night-light illuminates the watch face at night and in low light conditions.
  2. Press and hold INDIGLO for three seconds (a beep will sound) to activate or de-activate NIGHT-MODE® feature.
  3. While in the NIGHT-MODE® feature, press any button to illuminate the watch face for 3 seconds.

WATER RESISTANCE

If your watch is water-resistant, a meter marking is indicated.

WARNING: TO MAINTAIN WATER RESISTANCE, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS UNDER WATER.

  1. A watch is water-resistant only as long as a lens, push buttons and case remain intact.
  2. A watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving.
  3. Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.

 

ELASTIC WRAP

Each Timex Kids watch has an adjustable, stretch fabric, washable strap. To adjust the strap:

  1. Place the end of the elastic strap up through the first buckle opening and then down through the second buckle opening.
  2. Adjust the strap to the desired length.

FAST WRAP STRAP

Some watches have FAST WRAP straps. To adjust the strap:

  1. Slide the end of the strap through the D-ring.
  2. Pull tight to adjust and fasten for a snug and comfortable fit.

How do I set up my child’s Timex digital watch?
Time and date. A. Press and hold SET. The HOURS number will flash. B. The numbers will flash. … Timer. A. Press the MODE button until TIMER appears. B. Press and hold SET to select Set. The numbers will flash.

BATTERY

Timex strongly recommends the watch battery be replaced by a retailer or jeweler. If applicable, push the reset button when replacing the battery… Battery type is indicated on the case back… Battery life estimates are based on certain assumptions regarding usage; battery life may vary depending on actual usage…DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN A FIRE. DO NOT RECHARGE. KEEP LOOSE BATTERIES AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
